We are so pleased to announce that Rachel has been named to the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys “10 Best” list for her dedication to her clients and their satisfaction!
Rachel is one of only 10 attorneys in Tennessee to be awarded this honor (though that list includes our very own Karla C. Miller, too). The full listing will be on the Institute’s website soon, but we were too excited to wait to tell you all about it – because it is thanks to YOU that Rachel has been recognized for her total commitment to her clients.
What is the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys?
The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys is an independent organization whose mission is to “recognize attorneys who have excelled in their respective field(s). Attorneys who are recognized… are what we consider the best in the industry for client satisfaction.”
Candidates can be nominated by another attorney or by the Institute itself, or by former and current clients of that attorney. Aside from Family Law, a “10 Best” designation is also awarded to lawyers who practice criminal defense, DUI/DWI defense, personal injury law, bankruptcy law and elder law by the affiliated American Institute of Legal Counsel. All candidates are evaluated on the following criteria:
- Professional leadership and excellence, including honors and awards
- Client satisfaction
- Continuing education
- Speaking engagements
- Publications
- Associations
- Ethical behavior
An attorney with complaints lodged against him or her with a bar association or ethics committee is deemed ineligible, as are those who have negative feedback from clients.
Rachel Sharp is an experienced and dedicated lawyer who has contributed greatly to the overall experiences our clients have in our Nashville office. She is as skilled as she is tenacious, and as thorough as she is passionate about what we do. We are not surprised that she would be recognized for her exceptional treatment of and commitment to her clients – but that does not mean we are not incredibly proud and supportive of her.

Karla C. Miller has devoted her entire career to the practice of family law in Tennessee. She attended Auburn University and Nashville School of Law, and upon graduation in 1996, she opened her own law firm and has been assisting families throughout Tennessee since then.
